1 Eye damage:

Keratitis and conjunctivitis (pink eye),
damage to eye surface.

2 Skin damage:

From redness to vesication to serious burns. Dermatitis. Absorbing paraquat through damaged skin might be fatal.

3 Pulmonary damage:

Chronic pulmonary-damage.

4 Brain damage:

Suspicion of increased risk of Parkinson's disease in people exposed to paraquat over extended periods of time.

5 Damage to fingernails and toenails:

Various stages of injury from discoloration to nail loss.

6 Respiratory failure:

The intake of paraquat can cause pulmonary fibrosis and death by respiratory failure. Other toxic effects include shortness of breath, rapid heart rate, kidney failure,
lung sores, and liver injury.
