Syngenta describes its product ethics:

«As part of Syngenta's comprehensive production ethics the different stages of production, distribution and application are continuously monitored, supported by training and continuous education. Syngenta has also sent fuller's earth to hospitals and medical centers around the world and further support is provided by herbicide distributors and Syngenta staff. Syngenta also promotes a number of worldwide programs dedicated to the continuing education of farmers concerning the responsible use of herbicides.

Syngenta provides written instructions and package inserts to insure proper product use. Syngenta reviews and drafts standard guidelines for packaging, storage and transport of pesticides; in some cases they are even more demanding than the respective government regulations.» 

Syngenta's position on the problem of suicides:

«Unfortunately paraquat has been used by people bent on committing suicide. Syngenta regrets this situation, but the company believes that a person who has decided to kill himself will not be stopped by the disappearance of one means of suicide. To find an answer to this problem one would have to investigate the causes of such suicidal reasoning.»
